The Credential and License Program
HS University's Credential and License (CLP) program is a major national effort to help improve the quality of services by improving, evaluating and recognizing the competence of Head Start staff. HS University has developed this competency based curriculum program to provide a supportive learning environment. The Credential/License is a major national effort initiated by HS University to improve the quality of a program’s policies by improving, evaluating and recognizing the competence of workers employed by Head Start. The performance standards which define the development and implementation used by Head Start, is the foundation of the credentialing and license approach. The program is designed around a three tier level of knowledge and skill attainment. Each level builds upon another to ensure consistent educational advancement.
